The Newest Member of our Family
We gained a new family member this weekend. I finally found us a piano fit for our home, or at least our long legs. In all honesty, it's a little beat up and it's definitely seen better days. A lot of them. We've determined that it was born in the year 1900. We'll get it fixed up and hopefully have many happy years together.

I'm afraid to ask how labor was for your new addition. But I will ask, it is a boy or a girl?
Wow! I'm so excited for you! Cool!
Like the feet, too!
How fun. Your kids will love it. We have a digital piano - that I cant keep Lance away from. Happy playing!
Hooray for you!! You've seen our piano...I had to totally recover the keys because the ivory had all been picked off. And we won't mention the water damage on the left side...or all the other scratchs and dings...but...our piano tuner/expert said that it was built about 1915, before the Depression anyway, and said that it was in those days when they knew how to make pianos. He says the ones that are built today are junk. They just aren't as sturdy as the pre-Depression ones. Who cares what it looks like. All that matters is what's on the inside (like the felt pads, sound board, etc.). Hmmm, sounds like a nice little church talk :) If you want the name of my tuner let me know. He's a little overzealous, but knows his stuff. And he's the epitome of piano tuners. Wait til you see him :)
Love,
Jenn
