Wii not?

Nintendo Wii (pronounced 'Wee' for those who don't know) comes out soon. I wasn't all that interested in one of these at first... mostly because our GameCube sits under the TV gathering dust. But then I saw this movie and became quite interested. Plus I saw the opening game lineup with Zelda, Metroid, Mario, and Wario games that look fun!

So I'm starting a poll - comment your answers.

What do you plan to do concerning the Wii craze?

1) I want to be an owner of one of the targeted 4 million Wii sales in 2006!
2) I'm cheap! I'm waiting for the price slash after competition from PS3 and XBox 360 nearly cripples Nintendo.
3) Wii me? No thanks!
4) Fill in the blank option; for those with a quick wit who want to become famous in the blogosphere.

I'll start with my input: I vote 1.5 because it would be fun to have, but I'm cheap too! So I'm a probably-buy-it-maybe-this-year person.

3 for me.

I can't even find time for my PS2...let alone being able to convince my better half to fork out $600 for a PS3....let alone never even being interested in Nintendo gaming systems in general.

I vote No. 4

I'm definitely getting a Wii. I've been excited about it for a while, and the fact that it's so much cheaper ($250) than the competition ($400 for Xbox360 and $600 for the PS3), coupled with the cool new Wiimote motion controller, and awesome games (Zelda, Mario, Metroid, etc.), and the fact that it's backwards compatible with my Gamecube games, it's a no brainer for me. :-)

I can't wait!

I'll go with 2.

I feel the need to defend myself against Chad's entry. I would be willing to buy it when it's about $50. How long do you think that will take?

hey, why does "angie"'s entry have ARTHUR's picture on it? Just wondering....

Who's Arthur and why IS his pic with Angie's entry?

And, Kip, when will you make time to play it? I think I should get my piccolo first because it may be like 10 times the price (ok, 15) but I would use it every Tuesday during the orchestra season and more if I actually start to practice - which I would do if I had an expensive new piccolo.

I'd say: 0.5 because it seems that the lower the number the more you want it! Right?! But seriously, I think this one for Santa Clause to give, as he is the only one that can truly justify spending that much on just one toy.

(Santa, I hope you read Kip's blog...)
